Blitzing through Andalucia

From Deb -- After a relaxing stay in Ronda, we spent one night each in Granada, Cordoba, and Sevilla.  A crazy, whirlwind of a trip, with stops at every major fortress/cathedral/mosque/palace.  The boys were troopers, and we actually got a good taste of each city.

I fell in love with Sevilla and plan to move there when Daniel graduates from high school and Pippin kicks the bucket.  I have grand plans to teach English by day and dance Flamenco by night.

Now we're in Conil, a great beach town, for 3 nights.  When you're at the beach looking toward town, you see lovely Moorish-styled whitewashed homes all over the hill.  We have an adorable flat with a terrace that peeks over roofs to views of the ocean.

We haven't had WiFi in the places we are staying and downloading pics seems to take all day, so we'll be sending tons and tons of photos when we finally do settle down in an apartment with internet.  So, until then, google the towns I mentioned, look at some photos, and picture the five of us there.  :)

We also plan to have the boys sit down and share their thoughts.  It would be great to have David talk about the bullfight he went to with Bruce, Jonathan to write about the struggles of keeping up with his fantasy football team while 6-9 hours ahead of all the games, and Daniel to share about all the cute dogs and cats he meets.

Me?  I am still in shock to be here.  Every day is like a dream.  The boys are getting used to seeing me all teary-eyed.  It's just magical.

  2. I love that you love Sevilla! We loved it there as well! So happy to read this dream is coming true for your family...and leads me to hope that my similar dream will become reality one day not so long from now!
